New (to me) Pallet Forks

If I understand what your son was suggesting, I wouldn't have been comfortable with the pallet forks and their load only be held by the wall of the bucket. Probably could have reinforced the holes and added a support in the center but welding the hooks to the angle iron and then to the tractor wasn't that much work?

Interesting thought, though.

I put two slings under, say, a garden tractor, or whatever, slip the loops over my (clamp-on) forks and gently lift the whatever into the bed of my pickup (w. tailgate down).
