New Tractor, 75HP Range

The JD 5205 is discontinued (some great deals available right now) and was a sort of mid-feature model. Most brands have either only one model or only bare-bones and deluxe. I would look deluxe if you have the funds. I would suggest Kubota M6040 and 7040, NH TN75, the JD 5225 and 5325 (both more deluxe than a 5205 but about the same size) and I don't know models from Mahindra and Farmtrac.

If I was to do some price shopping, what are the most comparable models to price against, for example, a JD 5205?
Here is a place to start, some are a little lower hp & some are a little higher.

Massey MF5435
John Deere 5325 or 5425
Kubota - M7040 or M8540
Mahindra -7520
NH -TN75
Farmtrac 675dtc

Do some research on each of the manufactures websites, compare specs, go from there. Maybe go up or down a size? You need to look and compare

I was going to buy a JD 5420 until I stumbled across a local Zetor dealer.

Over three years later and still happy with the purchase, excellent tractor, good dealer, and that $20K I did not spend on the tractor is now worth :D

Livestock chores may be more efficient with a skidsteer and/or a Gator.

Digging up rocks is best with a backhoe. Picking big rocks is easy with a tractor, little ones disappear under the nose. 10' bushhog advise is spot on unless there is clearance issues.

Clearing with a mulching SS makes for zero cleanup, I carved out a pond with my dozer last year.

How much free time do you have?

I never heard of Zetor...anyone else have experience with that brand? There is a dealer about 40 miles from me.

Unless you are just dead set on spending a lot of money, you might want to look for a used Ag Utility such as a 10 series NH. Anything from 5610 on up would come close to your hp needs. I think you are correct in wanting enough hp, but in my opinion, the best combo of power/ease of manuverability falls in the 50-65 hp range. You should find numerous MF and NH Utilities in this hp range in your area, ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand hours. You can add a FEL.

What part of East Georgia? You might find a deal on a tractor used to pull peach wagons or peanut wagons. These usually have no more than 200 hours, full warranty, and a thousand dollar or more savings over new "right out of the box."

I hope we all get some rain out of this system coming in today and tonight.

15 foot bat wing bush hog is what i would recommend buying for that size tractor. it follows the ground better than a 10.also can get closer to fence row with over hanging tree limbs

McCormick has a good offering. I would take a look at them as well. Here you go CX Series Tractor

You looking for new, used but new.. or used and older?

Your best value will probably come from use dbut newish tractors who are just barely broke in.. but have already taken the depreciation hit price wise.

other options are older used + a new CUT for probably the same ballpark price of a larger new-used unit.

CNH 56/66/7610s is a decent unit near your range.. lotsa county hi-way dept's use them. Same with the 5/6/7X40 40 series.

What kind of deal value is this for a NH 75HP?

2006 NEW HOLLAND TD75D For Sale at TractorHouse.com

That's a pretty good price. A loader is another 5k.
I think new they are closer to 28/29 or so.
What kind of transmission? it doesn't say?
could be an 8x3 though and that's not so hot. I don't know what that big lever is by the front left, mine doesn't have that (i have a Power Shuttle)
