If you mount the bucket hooks near the reinforcements as shown and use backing plates, you should have no problems. Also buy yourself a good quality chain.

You might consider doing what I did on a small tractor that I had. I bought a piece of heavy angle iron the length of the top of the bucket. I welded to hooks to the angle iron, then bolted the angle iron to the top bucket lip using grade 8 bolts. After 20 years of using the hooks, my bucket was as straight as a new one. The extra steel makes a difference. But yes, mount the hooks where Airbiscuit indicated.

I am in N AZ and the land is dead flat. I will be using it for general property maintenance, moving dirt and DG, clearing weeds and rocks, plus livestock cleanup. Pretty light duty I think.....

My brand new 2009 Kubota M6040 started life with - FEL & bucket, RimGuard loaded rear tires and rear blade. Since that time - Wholly Carp - $$$$$$. Upgrading all my implements to Category 2.

A tip for you. You have RimGuard loaded rear tires. Purchase a good tire gauge. Adjust your rear tire pressure to this level - on hard dry ground you can see chevron prints in the dirt for the full width of the chevrons. From this point on - hold the tire gauge in reserve. Just drive the tractor out onto hard dry ground and take note of the chevron marks.

I have R-1's on my tractor. A satisfactory "chevron print" for my rear tires = 16 psi. I haven't had to use my tire pressure gauge, for the rear tires, in over eight years. The front tires aren't loaded. I check them every spring.

BTW - I keep a roll of paper towels in the tool box behind the seat. It's good for wiping my hands - and many other duties - when I'm out on the property.

Make sure you have wrenches or sockets to fit everything. I had to get a few larger sizes, like 27 mm. Also, pins: hair pins, cotter pins, anything that can be pulled out. I had to replace some several times before I zip tied them together. To go with the grease gun, get a box of zerks. And a spinner knob for the steering wheel.
