Its from India, other than that they didn't have any info...said they were getting 2-3 more different models. Looks like a 20-30 HP 3 cyl. Anybody have any info about them? Mike

The RKO here sells Chinese tractors (I think) but I can't remember the name. They're pretty basic and crude looking, but the prices are nice -- $8000 for 40 hp 4x4 if I remember correctly. Theirs are red and white. What do the ones at TSC look like? Our TSC doesn't sell tractors.

Our TSC isn't in the tractor selling business either...

TSC was supposed to start selling a rebadged Jinma named the Minot. They are Chinese. I haven't heard anything about a tractor at TSC from India.

I'm sure it will be every bit as high quality as the implements and accessories they sell. ;)

For anyone looking at them, IMHO you will save lots of money in the long run by buying a real brand from a real tractor dealer - it doesn't have to be the big 3, it could be Kioti, TYM, Mahindra etc. and still serve you better than rebadged who-knows-what with parts available only by actually traveling to rural China.

I saw a Minot running around at my local TSC and it had a sales sticker hanging off the FEL. I did not get too close as I am not supposed to go to TSC stores without adult (i.e. "She Who Must Be Obeyed") supervision. I am already "working" her- that is whining and grovelling for a bolt on toothblade (which I will most probably get :D), a box blade (which I might get :)), and a back blade (just to round out the basic attachments and which I might get ;)). Afternoon Jay,
Im in that club also ! ;)

BTW, the last time I went to TSC, they had some off color brands of 4x4 quads. The prices looked good but have no idea how long they might last ! ;)

Scott- There must be some gender specific mind/mood altering compounds in NE's water that predisposes them to less than effective interactions  with members of the opposite gender (or at least spouses) when discussing anything related to tractors and/or "needed" mechanical things. Jay :D

I think those are the chinese built ones. Even Costco is now selling them. Did some searching on them, and they seem go... But sometimes they go without taking all the parts with them... Kind of a buy at your own peril. I have heard the parts for them are nearly impossible to find... But they are a 3rd of what a regular US version costs... Maybe around the farm it would be nice, but would never trust it going further than I can walk back...

I actually got the wife's permission to go to TSC alone. We are out of town and she knows everything I might get will not fit in her car :(. I did get up close and personal with the 30 HP version. I was not overly impressed. The tractor was of a 60's - 70's design, there were some poor welds, and there was some rust. The ergonomics were typical of the design but the seat was adjustible. It did have a rear remote. The FEL assembly seemed "ok"- it was a kyoker (excuse the spelling), but the bucket seemed chinzy. I was less impressed with the "salesperson" who went to great lengths to prove it was American made. The name came from "Minot" the city were it was made (Correct on City, not on tractor origin. By the way does TBN come from the Minot area?). The diesel engine is a Milwaukee and made there (Wrong!), blah, blah, blah, blah, and so on. He told me this information was obtained from his sales department manager. I would agree Carl on this one. Jay
