New tractors on the dyno. Which brand does best?

The service manager that dynoed my tractor, told me he NEVER dynoed even one Deutz that didn't have a fair amount more pto power than it was rated, and over the years he had dynoed a pile of them!

Do you know where Deutz are made??

SR

Sure, I think they are German, (Austrian?) Part of Deutz is in Cologne.
I've always thought the air cooled Deutz engines were pretty neat, lot of engineering to get the heat out.
they even call themselves the engine company in their marketing:
DEUTZ AG: DEUTZ

Deutz Fahr is the name I remember but i don't follow euro tractors very much

daugen - - post # 39.......right on. I sure hope screaming400 made his point or got the info he needed. I can not imagine spending the $$$$ required to purchase a 75hp tractor - then worrying whether it was actually 75hp or something less. Life is too short for this sort of BS.

My dad was with Allis when Deutz purchased them. Deutz is top notch. And yes they were underrated like the Allis of the day.

Deutz is a German company and all of the "original" Deutz were all German made.

My point was/is, they are German and I assure you they didn't cheat or ever lie about their hp claims...

I love my little Deutz tractor,

Tier IV Questions For Messicks NEW THREAD 8/2/2018

1) Is the demarcation for Tier IV emissions controls 25-horsepower or 26-horsepower?

2) kubota B2601 specs as 68.5 cubic inch displacement / 25.5 horsepower. Does B2601 have Tier IV emission controls, specifically DPF?

3) Kubota B2650 has 77 cubic inch displacement / 26 horsepower. Does B2650 have Tier IV emission controls, specifically DPF?

Thank you for illumination.

Hillary lost so Tier V and Tier VI emissions regulations are delayed. Probably the only power source that could pass Tier VII would be hydrogen and electric .

I doubt if Germans as individuals are any more or less corrupt than any other nation of people.

The VW thing still astounds me, knowing how straight laced and environmentally conscious German Business People I know are.

If they are as corrupt as anyone else, may I suggest that they would probably do it better! lol

I have a Deutze 911 3 cylinder out of a compressor, that needs to go on my snowblower. I bit off a lit more than I can chew on that one. Curious how that intake manifold burner will work, in leu of having a block heater.

Heat the lube oil as this indirectly warms everything above .

I started in engineering at A-C in 1967. Prep for Nebraska included engine at low end of power range due to not wanting embarrassment of power train failure during the aggressive tests. Our JD, Kubota and NH tractors all produce more than rated both by Nebraska and dealer dyno. Our 2 dealers dyno our tractors before delivery and they all exceed spec.
