New Trailer

Tom; Good for you, you're definetly one of the few guys I know that read their owners manual. With my Stroker, I've actually had arguements about OD and cruise. Manual for that truck, with 4R100 trans, only says if trans is hunting, shifting in and out of OD, should you leave it out. Cruise? I'll drag any of my trailers at 70 mph all day with no problem, and I think if you've read any of my previous posts, you'll see I think of safety first. I might add that I also installed a 32K trans cooler and temp gauge.

If and when you spring the big bucks for a SD Stroker, the difference is very noticable. Especially if you turn it up a little. I went from 6 mpg with a 5.4 in a '99 SD, to the identical truck except for the Stroker, to 14mpg pulling the same trailer at the speed limit.

The cost? Another 4K on the A/Plan thru my brother. A sizeable amount at that. Just guess I'm one of those that it didn't bother much. I still encourage you to use what thou hast, but just stay laid back. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hey, all you guys missed the most interesting accessory Tom got with that trailer. Take a look at his 3rd picture.

Tom,
How much was the basketball hoop option? What a great idea. Loaded or not, you'll be getting your monies worth. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

You guys are a hoot! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yes, that hoop has been sitting at the edge of my driveway for weeks. Just finally moved it back where it belongs yesterday. Darn kids and their stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

John, I think I'll be looking for the SD next year or so. Probably go for an 04 SC with the 6.0 Diesel. I don't want to buy too fast or I'll ruin the fun of looking, contemplating, looking, deciding, you get the idea. Sure would like that TN75 with a cab too. Hmm.

Tractor is in the repair shop and they're investigating the leak. Next exercise will be to load it and take it back. Hopefully they'll get it fixed before this weekend.

Thanks everyone for the support!

I was just as impressed with that utility light option on the rear of the trailer in the same picture! Very chic. John
