Both are great trailers. Get the one that you can get the better deal on and who has a solid dealer in your area.

Both trailers are great. I bought a used 25' PJ 14,000 GVW gooseneck to haul my Kubota L5740, Hay, and Haylage. Has worked out great for me! No complaints on craftmanship or duability.

I bought a new 24' PJ car hauler trailer. I love it and it's very well built plus it's powder coated. Has two 7K axles with breaks on all four corners. Has dual 12K jacks in the front and has an enclosed tool/chain box in the front, led lights and a new spair tire. I did my home work and found the PJ brand trailer was the better deal. Paid $3800.00 for it and had to go pick it up from the PJ factory in Tiger Town, TX that was part of the deal. I'm glade I went to the factory, they gave me full look and walk thru the factory. The walk thru was awesome.

I love that trailer. Having a low boy is nice. I had a 25' 25,000# GN but it was a deck over and weighed 5,800# or so empty. I hated how tall it was. Sold it for a BP low boy and could not be happier.

I bought a PJ 20 ft. bumper pull steel deck flat bed trailer, 2, 7,000 pound axles with brakes on both. Pull it with 03 F-350 Super Duty 12 ft. dump., 5.4 auto. No complaints on trailer at all. Have put two 5X5 rolls on truck, one on frt. of trailer, one on 3 point spear and then loaded the tractor on trailer. Thats all I want to pull but the truck handles it OK.

I just sold my Big Tex 18' footer and I still have a PJ. Just bought a Load Trail 14K too. I can tell you that, from my experiance, Big Tex is poorly made (junk). Instead of painting the entire frame (and undercoating crossmembers) first before they add the deck... they add the deck and then spray paint the exposed frame only. It turns into a rust bucket. Poor job of preparation. Additionally, they use very low grade decking material. Take a look at the Big Tex photos from online dealers (not the factory). You'll see that the decks are twisted and bowed. Mine was the same way. They don't use #2 or better lumber. The standard ball coupler is junk and the workmanship is bad, very bad. Looks like the workers were drinking Jack Daniels at linch time when they screwed the deck in. Cheap lights too. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear they were made in China. The PJ on the other hand is an awsome trailer... very well made with none of the problems the Big Tex had. I will never buy another. The pictures on thier web site are pretty, though.
