3 different times over the last 20 months. There is an Enterprise next door, they just call over and give them a PO, I do have to put up a $50 deposit with Enterprise.

Normal 6.4l stuff, bad high pressure fuel pump, failed piston squirter, wiped cam, broken rockers, turbos. And in between that stuff I had a bad 4wd module and shift motor.

Well considering that I tow 17,000 lbs with it everyday I expect some attrition. Even though the 1-tons are rated to do that now, I feel much better using an F450. Who is to say I wouldn't have had problems with another manufacturer. In those 20 months I put 60,000 miles on that truck. I work it hard. I like having a pick-up it keeps me under the radar a bit more with the CHP. Much more truck I'm in CDL land which I'm not ready for yet.

Then what kind of rental you get? A truck to tow with???

I wish, that would have been nice, but part of the cons of deciding to go with a GN style trailer. I looked into trying to get a truck I could use to tow my trailer but since it was grape harvest season here there wasn't much I could do this last time. There weren't any trucks around. So I fixed tractors out of the trunk of a Mazda 3, lol.

I agree that dealer is a big deal when buying a truck, tractor, car, atv, etc. In all honesty the main reason I bought my 2011 GMC Sierra was the fact I'm friends with the salesman, who I also bought my mom's car from and he's just as good a year after the sale as he is the day you sign the papers. Problem is the dealership he works at has one of the absolute SLOWEST service departments I've ever seen in my life! you see people walking back and forth, all around, but nothing is ever getting done! you call them to make an appointment and they say "bring it in first thing in the morning". I show up at 7:30 when they open the doors and drop my truck off or my moms car, come back around lunch time and they still haven't gotten to it! Rediculous. so much for making an appointment, huh? so you complain and they say "oh, no one gave us the work order, we didn't know you were waiting." Who in the world is making the appointments then and how are they not getting back to the service department??? This happened to me 4 times. That was one of the reasons I left GM. My local Honda ATV dealer used to be excellent, they recently have let go of the people that were great to deal with and hired incompitent fools and their service has taken a nose dive. I'll never buy a Honda ATV again for that simple fact. I'm not a hard person to deal with when it comes to service, but I am the biggest butthole you'll find if I make an appointment and you don't keep your word, or you tell me "we'll call you when it's ready" and I'm sitting here for a week to get a call and when I do call you it's "oh, I'm sorry we forgot to call you". I raise **** then.
