Yeah I guess if thats the way you look at things.
I didn’t say I wouldn’t install a tarp and have stuff falling off the truck, I’m just a little taken aback at what crap costs today.

I kind of like the black wheels look. I wonder if white rims will add a weird 3rd color scheme that might look funky with green cab and black dump bed. Previous owner/abuser painted the rims black, you can see white showing through.

Cab steps are shot.
IH want’s gold for them. Is there generic cab steps?

Not sure on the generic but our steps wouldn't last that long, couple years usually, they'd either rot off (salt trucks) or be beat to death. All we'd do is make new brackets/hangers and use this grip strut, you can get it in widths up to 11-1/2".

Just a quick update: Truck dump body is completed. Air tailgate installed. Everything working good.
Just a few more minor repairs (HVAC fan runs full blast constantly, steering wheel is turned 1/4 turn to the right, and a few other small details) and I should be in service.

My first job will probably be removing cut off chunks of wood and delivering to tub grinder about 10 miles away.

Really want to address the wheels and cab steps next.

Getting excited to put it to use!

The first 10 or so trips should be “white knuckle”. So many repairs & frame & used dump body…
