Re: New version of Pat\'s Easy Change

Anyone interested in looking at/purchasing Pat's Easy Change system, he will in Louisville this coming week. At the Power Show in Ohio, he was offering them for a little discount and throwing the spreader bar in for free. I have no idea if that same offer will be extended to the Louisville show or not.

Re: New version of Pat\'s Easy Change

Inspector 507 would you be kind enough to supply a bit more info on the show? The only dates that I could find referenced Jan. 30, 31, and Feb. 1, 2004 and I know that can't be right since it's already the 8th. Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: New version of Pat\'s Easy Change

PineRidge,
Those were the dates for the Power Show in Ohio. The National Farm Machinery Show is next week in Louisville, KY. I tried to get the exact dates, but their site is not responding right now.

Edit: Feb. 11-14
Pat will be in the South wing.........booth 907

Re: New version of Pat\'s Easy Change

Thanks for the heads up. Evidentially while I was thinking Louisville my fat fingers were typing Ohio in the search engine. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: New version of Pat\'s Easy Change

Bob,
Can you tell me the distance from the center line of the hook "throat" to the back of the hook( away from tractor) on the Easy Change ?
My snow blower has a yoke type pin for the 3pt. There is 2" of clearance between the pin center and the closed end of the yoke.
Thanks,
GrayBeard

Re: New version of Pat\'s Easy Change

I'm at work and the tractor is at home! I'll try to remember to get out to the tractor tonight to take a measurment. . . but maybe someone else with a Pat's system can get back to you with a more timely answer?

Re: New version of Pat\'s Easy Change

If you have T&T on your 3 tph, PAT's is a snap. I built my own spacer but soon discarded it. Using Tilt, you can drop this down well below the lift pin, align and hook up the other side, then pull out on the Tilt side (on my JD there is about 2" of play), and then using tilt, lift it till it catches the pin. Since you have to be off the tractor to attach the top, this is quite easy. If you align and secure the non-tilt side first, then attach the top hitch, you can use the top hydraulics to move the 'tilt" side back and forth for better alignment.

Re: New version of Pat\'s Easy Change

GrayBeard, from the center line of the opening to the rear edge of the hook (away from the tractor) is less than the 2" so you should have the room you need to use PAT's system.

I took a look at the ball ends on one of my other tractors too, from teh center line of the hole to the back edge of the lower arm is about the same measurement (under 2"). This may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer?

Re: New version of Pat\'s Easy Change

Love my Pat's Quick Hitch. You can notch out a 1 x 4 to use as a spreader. Only problem I have is needing a longer top link on some implements. Quess I could make a top link bracket extension on either the tractor or implement?
