Canopy New vinyl cab enclosures for Kubota L45 TLB's - $500

   / New vinyl cab enclosures for Kubota L45 TLB's - $500 #21
All installed. Kind of a pain, but should be a lot quicker next year.

I'll do Pics and a review when I have chance
The front rail track I faced forward, as it makes the encloser about an inch father away from the steering wheel.
Hmm. I'll have to look at that.

Thank you. Not the best instructions. I Missed one thing, Step #14. i was wondering why I had two extra.

Kubota should do a Factory Soft Cab that fits snug and looks good, with better easy access doors.

Cab should have Poly carbonate tinted anti scratch coated windshield about twice the thickness that came with this Kit, also Pol-carbonate windows in doors and side panels, same thickness as what comes in kit for flexibility.

Get rid of the thin vinyl and go with the material like what is used in the new Carhartt bibs that I got for X-mas. It is two layers of heavy woven nylon fabric with insulation in the middle, so it would hold shape and be cold weather flexible. Add some stays sandwiched in between and don't skimp on the stitching and reinforcement.

Make sure cab is quick to install and remove, and you would have a soft cab worth $2,000 easy. Add heat and Air and that would be worth $4,000
It would \better suit a TLB or a woodlands tractor better than a "hard" Cab.

I still do not have Pictures.

I still need to figure out what they mean by 14 as well. I've got my install so I'm pretty happy with how it looks and fits.

While I don't necessarily disagree with you, I think some of your expectations may not be realistic BASED ON THE MARKET. There isn't much competition in the market, and every single one is custom so the customer base is quite limited.

I will say this, the cab I had for my L39 was a little bit "better" in my opinion. It was made by these people: Welcome to USA Tractor Cabs :: Vinyl and Acrylic Tractor Cabs

It had a better front windshield, it allowed use of the backhoe (not really important to me in winter), the door access was better, it was quicker to install, the side and rear panels rolled up nicely. It did have drawbacks. It went over the top of the machine so it was more susceptible to damage from low hanging branches, the sides didn't "slide".

I think what we got compares better with their $900 offer, for $1500 like they think what we got is worth you'd get a far superior product from usatractorcabs. For $500, what we got is a STEAL.

I think next time around I might attempt to build my own hard, but easily removable, cab.

Yes, No complaints at $500.
Notice the difference in material for the front vs side windows. The side windows kind of suck. I hope Plexus helps.
I hope I get a bunch of years out of this Cab.

See Step 14 in my pictures. It's the joystick Photo. I also ordered some magnets from Amazon To hold the fender clips better.

PS I took a look at what you did to your grapple. Mine is a bit heavier, and I still managed to bend it also. It has been fixed and a bit of reinforcement added.
For the tougher stuff I try to use my excavator. L39/L45 are great little TLBs.

Still hate snow but a little less.

I like being being out in the elements, but not sitting on a tractor plowing snow in the dark at 1:00AM
Rather be skiing to get fresh air.
I like the soft Cab, except:

No Windshield wiper, except for my glove.

I can't see where my front R4's are sliding off to.

The door is made for a skinny limber small person. I'm not!
I actually took the door off last night. I was not too cold.
I may keep the door off, except in brutal weather.

Such a difference being on my open station Max28 to even a soft cab with the door off.

I agree about the door. I can't figure out how they intend it to actually be used.

Best to exit rear end first. The "Door" is pain.

When I started clearing snow up here years ago, I used the bucket.

When I got a real plow on the front, I thought that was great, but I still froze out in the open.

We have not had that much snow this season, and aside from a few cold days not really brutal, but the cab for all it's faults is a blessing.

Now if only I had an 8' or 9' snow pusher for the big open areas.
Plow works great on the road, but elsewhere, snow falling off to the sides means you go over the same area many times.

I still don't quite understand how they intend we use the sliding door. I see random strips of velcro. Is the bottom of the door supposed to fold up and then slide the whole door back?

The lack of windshield wiper kind of sucks. I'm not sure the windshield even tough enough to handle one. I might try a Rain-X treatment.

The cab is certainly WAY better than no cab!

My Erskine plow has the ability to accept sides to make a pusher out of it, but all I plow is a 1/4 mile driveway so a plow is perfectly acceptable for me.
