I really appreciate the lead on the Beaver Valley blades - they look like exactly what I'd hope to achieve. One issue I notice is that they weigh in at 350lbs, which is awfully close to my lift capacity of 400lbs on the BX1500. I sold my Snowway plow the other day and lifted it into the buyer's pickup with the FEL and couldn't get it to raise all the way, due to the weight. The FEL just petered-out... I was able to roll the bucket a little more to get it onto the tailgate, so it wasn't a problem. I'm just thinking that this blade may prove too much for the BX1500, as it's so close to the stated max. capacity.
I have been having a lot of success removing snow with just the FEL now that I can angle the pitch just so that I'm not cutting into the ground. Only problem is that I havent had more than 2"-3" snowfalls so far with it, so it's awful hard to tell at this stage whether I really do need a blade or not.
