New welding table I made

/ New welding table I made #21
Hay Wobblin Gobblin. Not criticizing your work because it is a well built table. I have been a metal fabricator, welder since 72 and am now semi-retired. My small shop is metal framed with double metal walls with foam sheets in between for insulation. My wood working is done in my garage. Fire safety has always been paramount for me as I have seen what one spark can do. If a fire should occure in your shop, would your insurance cover it should it be started from a welder's spark. Weld screens around the table would help. All my flammable liquids are kept in a metal cabinet.
I have seen some great welding table builds on YouTube and being a contractor l'm sure you pick up a lot used angles and metals along the way. If I had room in my shop I would look for an acorn table made from cast iron and stays perfectly flat but they are very heavy. During the warmer months I like to do as much welding outside to limit the exposure to welding smoke and grinding dust. Good luck in your endeavors and if you saw my cement work you would roll your eyes LOL
