I'm surprised to hear that a set of rear remotes costs $800 on the TC30. Someone is making a big boat payment off of that. The parts for a Kioti rear remote are in the $300 range and an afternoons work gets it installed.

I've used both rear remotes and a WRLong diverter valve to control my grapple. I actually prefer the rear remotes so long as the lever is in a convenient spot (outboard and slightly down from the FEL joystick like a 4 on the floor shifter).

Don't forget the potential extra benefits that come with having a set or two of rear remotes. Topping lift, splitter, powered angle on rear blade or any other low powered hydraulic device you might dream up.

Thanks for the joining in IslandTractor. I am trying to find a rear remote kit for a TC30. It was the 3rd function cost that I thought was BIG! If I can do it for $300 and I already know the additional benefits I will do it. I know someone had a thread on doing the installation. I just need to find the kit for my tractor. Then I will call the dealer and see if they are close. If so, I will use them. A hydraulic top link would be sweet along with blade angle control. Wow, that would be like heaven. More research on my part is needed. Thanks for your input.

Ksshooter. I bought another rear valve and all fitting needed for my Kioti from my dealer in Nov. Packed in a Kioti Box for $275 plus tax. When it warms in the spring i'll put in in. Looks to take a couple of hours, a no brainer. Hardest part is getting the seat and what-not off to get to the 1st valve. Take off the side plate, add more valves and put the end plate on the valving. .. .John

John-I appreciate the information. The question is:does that mean a Kioti kit will fit a New Holland TC30? I asked it "tongue-in-cheek" of IslandTractor(IT) but if someone comes in on this and tells me they did it and it works on a New Holland then that will be my solution.
However, the other post that I referenced earlier has this in it "just get a valve mulitpler and save yourself a lot of headaches Fasse valve is the most common one it will plug into your exsisting valve and can have as many remotes as you need they are operated with electric solenoids." IT spoke of a "WRLong diverter valve" which I need to investigate. I did take a look and it appears to be similar to the "Everything Attachments 3rd Function Valve Kit" although I do not have a price as yet. I am wide open to solutions of $300 or less:D.....preferably less especially if it is not "dual remotes" as a solution. Thanks again:thumbsup:

I cannot answer your question about compatibility between the Kioti kit and the NH kit. I suspect they are not interchangeable. The person I would contact if I were in your shoes is JJ. He is one of our hydraulic gurus and he seems to have memorized the Surplus Supply catalog so he gives very specific advice.

By the way, most of the cost is in the first set of remotes so strongly consider putting in two sets at once. That allows for example to have one dedicated to the topping link while leaving another for additional work.

The WRLong kit is probably very similar to the one you are looking at. JJ can also give you ideas from the Surplus Supply catalog to cut those costs by more than half. The kits are nice but they are really just sourced from places like Surplus Supply, nothing custom other than a simple mounting plate that could be easily fabricated with hand tools.

IT and John: Thanks guys! As I entered the forum this morning I say "Hydraulics"...and the light went on:D. Then I read IT's post and now I have a specific contact.:) Excellent!!
Thanks to both of you and I will bet your are correct John; they are most likely not compatible.
You have a Mahindra HST and a Kioti HST both with loaders??? The list goes on....and on...do you use these for a living? Nice tag line...YOU CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH EQUIPMENT! I used to say the same about firearms. Now I have to sell some of them to afford tractor work/play toys:tractor:. Everything in life is a compromise  JJ in Hydraulics..Lots of information..I am going to be there awhile:cool2:

Nice. I'm sure you will get many years of use from it. Looks like you have already been busy.

Unless it is an optical illusion, it looks like you have twisted the left upper arm a bit. No biggie but that is one of the disadvantages of having the dual upper arms with the hydraulic cylinder on one side. If you have an asymmetric object in the grapple and clamp down, if the object is fatter on the outside than inside then the hydraulics might twist the arm. Kinda looks like that has happened. It won't affect function and if it bothers you then heat it and bend it back. That cannot happen as easily with a single arm because the hydaulic pressure is on the middle rather than lopsided.
