Newbie ? Adjusting 3 point sway

   / Newbie ? Adjusting 3 point sway #21
I left some sway on my tiller first time out on my BX 25. The BX has turnbuckles attached to some light forks w/cotter pins through a 5/16" pin in the yoke. After two hours the sway increased and was bumping bad. Looked it over, the little yokes and pins were bent all out of shape and had to cut them off. Bought new ones next day ran them tight and have ever since and no further problems. Have over 200 Hrs on the 3PT with several immplements all snugged up. Hard to argue with success.

I have geen digging a pond for the past two months, and when I use the box blade as rear "dozer" I find the slack between the implement and the pins to be troubling. I put stacks of flat washers around the pins to take most of the slack out of the connection to the arms. To me it seems a lot more rigid and less prone to binding. There is a little slack in each connection, but if I did not use the washers it would be over an inch in either direction within the pin attachment to the box blade.
Practice, practice, practice......
