BX25 2011
After 2 years of watching this site and research, finally bought a BX25
Absolutely love it.
Already ordered BX expanded hooks
will order Extreme metal products thumb (they look better to use for pulling out brush by stream than Bro-tek)
First question :
Best way to scrape up about 3"-4" of sod for large areas ..Backhoe or get teeth for bucket? (general landscaping)
I'm finding a lot of practice is needed for even backhoe sod removal, the bucket is pretty easy to learn, but it doesn't scrape up sod.

Any tips? And Hello!

Try out the Ratchet Rake for scraping sod.I did quite a large area with mine and it does a great job. They have a video of it. Search ratchet rake and it should come up.

welcome to tbn and congrats on bx ! If you only need to pull up sod 3-4 inch worth and have time- slow and steady will do it. If you do it before ground dries up, but not muddy, it should be a piece of cake with BX bucket in float.

I had to scrape about 2 inches or so of sod to clean out a ditch with my bucket. What I did was I put er in low, 4wd, and move an inch at a time with my hand on the FEL control. I would start out in float, curl and uncurl bucket as I go to keep things even. Once I started cutting, I would take it out of float and start lifting a bit without raising the bucket to take weight off ground since wet sod can be heavy and you don't want to cut too much.

 the only way to understand what I said is go out and play- err i mean work with your tractor. :D
