Hello. I am new to the forum. I've owned a John Deere 4520 tractor for several years and just last week took delivery of a new John Deere 5101e Ltd 4X4 Cab tractor with a 260 MSL loader. I also have at my disposal a 90's vintage 5300 open station 4X2 tractor in excellent operating condition. After a recent death in the family, my wife and I have taken over running the family 200 acre Angus beef cattle farm. The operation is basically making hay and feeding approximately 30 brood cows. I have a few bugs with the 4520 I hope to get aswers for and hope to give my first impressions of the new 5101E.

Any y'all Virginia boys from near Mt Rogers. Beautiful place. Use to go up there and camp out with horses and stay at Grayson Highlands State Park. Oh yea the Creeper Trail was nice too.

Oh yeah, I usually make my way up towards Grayson Highlands in the fall to pick the wild Blueberries and I spent many weekends as a kid riding bikes on the Creeper.
