Newbie Question - Getting an Attachment Home

If you're gonna rent a flat-bed trailer for your van, presumably you're gonna have the "Big R" guys load it on the trailer for you, right? P'raps you can have them load it so the 3PH is facing a direction that will ultimately be accessible by the tractor once you're on site. Then, when you get on site, just break off the crating, back the tractor up into position, raise the rockshaft to the appropriate height and attach it right to the 3PH.

Most tractors with FELs are able to at least lift an implement designed for that size tractor at least a foot or two. That is enough to be able to drive the trailer out from under the implement and then safely place the implement on the ground. I was able to drive about 4 miles with my 48" Bush Hog cutter lashed into the FEL of my CK20's loader and never had trouble lifting other implements (rake, chipper, 4n1, grapple) using the lift and drive away or lift and drive the trailer out from underneath techniques.

The 4' hog and 4' BB should easily fit in the back of a full sized PU. If the truck has the standard 8' bed you have at least 10' to play with. A 4' BB will fit sideways against the cab, with room to spare, and the hog will sit right in behind it. The weight should not be an issue. Before we had rural water come through I had to regularly haul water in a 330 gallon tank, which weighed around 2500 lbs full.

A FEL or boom pole either one will lift these attachments and let you drive out from under them.
