Went out to do videos. Figured out the PTO.

Feeling kind of stupid. It works fine when you don‘t have the clutch pushed in
I think that we have all been there before. Congratulations on getting it sorted out.

All the best,

Peter

Now the next gotcha is when the tiller or rotary mower stalled the tractor and you can't get it started again. Turn the key, nothing.

Finally, you remember there's a hidden safety switch that allows connection to the starter only if the PTO lever is in Neutral.

BTDT more times than I want to remember.

(Just by chance that switch is in my photo, above.)

WOW. My YM2610 has nothing like the hidden switch. This is really good to know.

In the YM186 ops manual, is there talk about using this hidden switch?

Hey mine dosen’t even have a key. Just a toggle switch for the glow plug equivalent and a push button for the starter.
Told you I got it from a tinkerer and i am trying to figure it out.
My Mahindra is like a Cadillac. Was used to my FILs McCormick. This Yanmar is somewhere in between

No 'ignition' switch to engage/disengage the charging system? Those functions should also be on that switch.

Flashing Volt meter light. First problem one when I bought it. Random and now the Temp. light. Stick my hand under the dash and feel the Radiator air Temp. and cut the switch off!!. Happened quick last time so I don't even get off to look at the overflow anymore. It's sits this time of Yr. in Ga. so I'll check on it. Reg. Maint etc...... Been busy on the F2000.
