New gauges fog again. How long does it take for a major manufacture of equipment to figure out how to make a guage that does not fog? Not trying to be smart, but I have spent a lot of my time taking the RTV in and out of the shop, and it still is not fixed right. Having said that, I have used the RTV all weekend and it really is a great machine, if they would just clean up a few problems.

I agree. I have two milky looking gauges (after several changes to no avail) and a rattling front drive shaft. Other than that, I really do like it. C'mon Kubota, please, please, please quit leaving your RTV buyers out in the rain and fix the little issues that are preventing the RTV from being what they can be. I have to agree also that it's not that Kubota "can't" make the fixes, but they simply won't just now. That is probably as annoying as anything. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

( Give this issue some time guys. I am sure a solution is comming. When you read these forums it sounds like this is some kind of cronic problem, but I think its the same people fussing every time. We have sold probably 40-50 RTV's and I have not heard of any of them comming back with driveline problems. I have seen 2-3 posts on the internal technical system from dealers with machines that have issues, each one of those has said a solution is in the works. This stuff does not happen over night and there is no way they will rush out a fix that is not going to hold up. )I'm one of those guys fussing all the time. It's not a big issue unless you own one of those machines, spent close to $12K, and the problems happens to you. I'll swap my machine with you for a new one without these issues and see how long it takes for you to start complaining. Loading it on a trailer, driving 30 miles to the dealer for a "fix" and driving back to pick it up to find out there was no "fix" at all. This has been the third trip there and back. You bet I'm not a happy camper! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I keep calling the dealer for my fogging gauges. They keep replacing them. This w/e I noticed the service caller did not even put them in level. Both are angled so you have to tilt your head to get a correct view. So, not only do they still fog, but now they cannot even put them in right.

Since my RTV is so loud, I never noticed the driveshaft rattle. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif What does it sound like?

I may have to hold my bed down tight, right where the tail-gate attaches to the bed is where my loud issue comes from.

Luck would have it that we actually use it, so when we are moving, the noise is abated.

Same problem I had. Bed liner rattled so loud I think I missed the drive shaft rattle at first. Put some dirt or something with weight in the bed to keep it silent. If you don't hear a rattle, you don't have it. With mine, you could not miss it. Mine only did it when parked w/ no load.

I just got off the phone with the regional Kubota rep., that was a first /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif, who advised that at this time there is still NO fix to the driveshaft rattles nor the fogging gauges. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif He said that a fix is in the works, which I've heard that before, but nothing right now. He said he's trying to run down the engineers and try to give some type of answers next week. As soon as I hear something I'll post it but for now it's just sit and wait. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hey, I have a Kubota bedliner I took out of my RTV. If you install it, it will rattle so much that you won't hardly be able to hear the front drive shaft doing the Conga. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Alright, I picked up on a bit of insider info a few days ago. A good fix is comming for both the driveshaft and gauges. I got a few details about it and its different than whats being done now. Its not a patch, its a real fix. Its still going to be a few months before repair bullitins are published. While it might take time, I think everyone would rather see it be done right than get a patched up version that does not hold up.
