( This w/e I noticed the service caller did not even put them in level. Both are angled so you have to tilt your head to get a correct view. So, not only do they still fog, but now they cannot even put them in right.)

Mike,

Replacing or adjusting the gauges is about a 15 second project.
To adjust, just reach under the dash, grab the gauge and give it a twist.
To remove, reach under the dash and you'll feel 2 tabs sticking out of the side of the gauge. Pinch them and push the gauge out of the dash. Unplug the harness and replace.

My rattle is back and is worse now than before they changed out the shaft. Not good /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Still waiting for the "real fix" info.

Yep. I did that, but I was kind of *not happy* with the installation. Anyone could see they were not installed properly.

Also, I keep telling them that the gauges are fogging up and they should tell Kubota. You'd think after the third set they would have caught on by now. The dealer gives me the impression they don't know about the defects in a timely fashion.
They *just* last week did the spark arrestor "adjustment".

Maybe it is my last name, last on the list?

Mike,

Any reason you're not doing the fixes yourself (gauges, spark arrestor...)? I've done everything myself and have yet found one that would actually take longer than just the loading/travel time to the dealer.

For the drive shaft rattle and fogging gauges I'm just going to wait until Kubota has a fix.

My rattle isn't bad and I just check the fuel before it gets fogged over (my temp gauge now seems to be OK).

If my rattle did get bad, I'd probably do the fix with the set-screw (as I am off warrantee).

Unfortunate, but I am never home long enough to coordinate between the dealer and my wife. It is after all - her RTV /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I get the message, after I get the ride and notice the gauges are a little skewed.

OK guys, just got off the phone with the regional Kubota rep who advised he is bringing to my dealer newly designed yokes, which are clamp-on style, and new gauges. These items are just off the engineer's table and he's dropping them off tomorrow. He also advised that the yokes are designed with some sort of rubber bushing or grommet. I'll know more about the setup when I take mine in for the repair. I sure hope this will be "the" cure and not another wasted trip. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Fred,

Sounds like you're getting the first one. Let us know how it works out (and if the gauges are OK).
