I guess those type balers are all right for someone that bales just a few bales a year but not for me. I like being able to bale 30+ bales per hr(depending on the thickness of the hay) and that ain't happening very easy with a manual tying machine. There's a Big difference in baling a couple hundred bales a year and several 1000 a yr. Then one throws in the speed of netwrap and that will spoil the baler operator.
I agree, but I do still have a 335 baler and have baled a lot of hay with it. About the most I ever got was around 130 bales a day. I can also speak to the "crick in the neck". I finally installed a mirror in the cab to watch the slides and adjusted the remote speed down which helped.
We just keep it as a back up baler now. My son cut his teeth on the 467 with auto tie and a monitor, so I still like to pull the old 335 out and show him what baling was like back when you had to drive the tractor.
