I have a NH 2003 TC29D with 5 hours on it and the hoses to the oil cooler broke. I replaced them and now at 60 hours they seem to be ready to break again. Anyone had any problems with their TC29D or TC33D? Thanks

I remember reading all about this within the last year. Seem to remember it was an angle connector or something like it on class II boomers. Try searching the archives for a lot of information on this subject.

Yep, there was a big discussion on this. Mine broke on my 29 at about 100 hours. So far they look ok at 300 hours. However, I am seriously thinking of changing them when I do my fall PM. It is a lot easier to change them in the garage when you can control the amount of hydraulic fluid rather than leaking all over the place before you realise there is a problem like when my originally went out.

They don't cost much, it is a hassel though.

My TC33DA has about 75 hours on it and the right side hose (from the seat) just burst. What a mess! I've washed the tractor 3 times since then and it's still a dirt magnet. I don't think I'll ever get it clean.

Why is that NH seems to be so poor in correcting these known problems? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Also, I find it really hard to believe they used what seems to be nothing more than large diameter fuel line with hose clamps for this application, when on the Class IIIs they knew enough to use high-pressure hydraulic hose and fittings.

My suggestion, to anyone who wants to fix this permanently is to go to a shop that can fabricate hydraulic hoses and get something fabricated. You might need to cut back the tubing to allow a more gradual bend, but if you can use straight hydraulic hose, fitted with compression fittings, I think you'll have come up with a lifetime fix.

I bought at product called "Oil Eater" at Costco for about $7-8. I sprayed it in concentrated form on the area that always drips hydraulic fluid when I take off the loader. It had two year's of dirt built up. After soaking for 10 minutes, I hit it with a cold water garden hose and it is now clean. No new dirt has clung to the area, so it must have stripped the oil off well.

I just took my pressure washer and used a degreaser chemical with it and cleaned it up pretty good.

I have a TC 30 with less than 10 hours. Does this tractor suffer from the same problem?

If it's got hoses like the ones highlighted in the attached picture it does.
