as we begin to tack things together, its important to do so on the tractor to ensure the proper fit. but this also means that a custom made aluminum heat shield is in order...hehe.

Looks like a face guard for a hockey player.

Great job! It should do the job. Are you going to paint it NH blue? Let us see the final product. I'd like to know how your hood latch idea works out.

How about adding a small 3 or 4 inch "guard rail" with expanded metal along the top of your loader bucket to catch/stop gravel and rocks from falling over the top.

we've been trying to decide if we should go black or nh blue. i'd rather it be black so it was less noticeable and easier to repair if anything needed to be straightened or replaced. as soon as we make the final adjustments and get the latch on, it'll be off to the powdercoater.

now im really wishing we had taken pics of the log splitter while we were building it.:(

Mcfly89

Are you back from the future?:D

The time stamps on the photos are all months ahead in 2007.

And your username Mcfly fits also.

Seriously though the Guard looks sharp.

Waiting to see which color you decide to go with.

the timestamps are arranged funny...for some reason they show the 6th day of the 1st month 2007, instead of january 6 2007.

but in my own twisted reality i'll say you are telling me i'm ahead of my time. woohoo, hehehe

the logsplitter just got back from the powder coater. i'll start a new thread for pics of it.
