That was one question I asked about the TN 65 (and may or may not have gotten the "right" answer) because I have been around a TL 90 before ( a totally different tractor hence the reason for asking about the TN's) yet it too was also a little light in the back end when we would pick up hay...ended up having to fill up the back tires.....yet I was told "never had a problem" with the TN so they may had never picked up anything really "heavy" or it truely did not have any problems----- the way I look at it, I can get by with that if that is the only issue with the tractor....(put anything on the back end - or put water/antifreeze in tires)..........thx for the input on the tractors and $ range

Depending on how much weight your are picking up you will need rear weight on the TN. I have my rear tires filled and if I am picking up something heavy (2500 pound pallet of shingles or such) I put the box blade on the back and hang suitcase weights off of it for more weight. Makes things nice and stable. If I am just moving dirt the weight from the rear tires is plenty.

I've had 2 TN's, a TN75S and now a TN75D. They are both great tractors although I have had a few problems which the dealer corrected with out issues. I've had the latest once for 5 years ow and it runs fine. As far as heavy loader work, I have loaded 16x9- R30's and still need a rear implement to keep the rea end on the ground.

If you do a search on TN on this forum every post you find is something positive. There's a few niggling problems here and there but no major issues.
It was a major factor in me buying my TN.
And BTW, I bought my TN sight unseen. I'd never driven one, been in one, even seen one and it showed up one day on a truck 2.5 months after I ordered it and wrote a check for 42,000 dollars.
And, like all the rest, it's been problem free, it's comfortable and it's strong.
I think the TN is one of the best tractors made of any make.

Speaking of weights...I ordered front weights for my 75 but it was delivered w/o them (wrong bracket ordered). I ran it w/ a std duty 8' mower until the bracket came and even w/ the bigger axle/tires/wheels up front there were places I didnt go b/c it was too light. The front weights were necessary to balance the mower.

With a loader you don't need the extra front weights though.

:) right forgot he was getting a loader...if you remove the loader then you may still need weights. :)

I leave my FEL on 99% of the time on my wet land, it allows me to curl my way out of really soft ground that stops me. Has saved me from having to call a neighbor to get towed out.

Hi Roper14! I am the proud owner of a TN65D for three years and its the best tractor I ever owned. (I have owned 6 other tractors) The only difference between the one you are looking at and mine is that I have 4 wd and a cab. The tractor will mow all day on a tank of fuel, pull a 13 foot disc, or a 3 bottom plow. Its loader is strong ,well built and easy to take off or put on. I highly recommend the tractor. Good luck on your negotiations on the price. Ken

Yup, I can understand that but Ive run into cases when its really in the way esp when getting up close to fences and such. In general any case when having a chunk hanging out front isnt desirable.
