Got a Quote for installing a BUSH HOG (4045 mid-mount) FEL w/out joystick and valve for $5,500 or $6,500 with joystick and valve. My TN75 has two rear remotes... would it be a bad idea to use the factory joystick for the rear remotes and one of the remotes for the FEL. At this point the only things I need a remote for is bailer and cutter... so I'm think one is enough? I'm a newbie at this but I guess you can tell by the question. I'm seriously thinking about this... the installer will pick up the TN75 and deliver it (80 miles round trip).

Thanks,

Bob

If you already have a joystick on your tractor it is plumbed to the two rear remotes. You can tie the new loader directly to the rear remotes then add a third remote for when you need to bale so you don't have to unhook the curl lines of the loader (or remove the loader completely). Or you can get the kit Tommyboy has to allow you to use the rear remotes in addition to the loader like he described.

I do have a factory joystick that controls the rear remote(s). Does the Joystick control both rear remotes and will the FEL utilize both rear remotes? thanks

Yes, the joystick will control both rear remotes so all the new loader will have to do is plug into them.

Thanks for all the info.... I've been reading about FEL on 2wd machines and a lot of people are saying it's not wise and 4wd is much better. Is it that hard on the front end on a TN75 beacuse of the size? Just not sure if they were talking more about compact tractors.

An MFD (4WD) option on a tractor enhances loader operations in several ways. Compact tractors almost require MFD to be effective at all with a FEL. Utility sized tractors were fitted with FEL's for at least 40 years before MFD became commonplace. Yes, MFD is nicer to have than not have for loader applications. However, you just found a killer deal on a 2WD tractor, and if you have need of a loader, there is no reason you should not buy one and install it. What is commonplace and "required" now was impossible not long ago. You should budget for a substantial amount of rear ballast if the tractor doesn't already have it, and become familiar with the proper operation of the differential lock. You also have the option of adding one or two additional lever operated remote valves to control other implements if you wish.

Rick B, aside from engaging/disengaging/auto modes for the rear diff, what do you mean by learn the proper operation of the diff lock?

Understanding that difflock should never be engaged with one rear wheel is spinning.
Understanding that the difflock will remain engaged until the torque loading of each wheel is equal. Then the lock is free to be disengaged by the internal springs.

Bob, just a little insider info. Why are you buying a Bush Hog?
Did your dealer tell you that Bush Hog no longer builds loaders! They are officially out of the loader "building" business this month. Unless you are getting a sweet deal, stay away from it. Where are you located?
$6500 will get you a "High Tech" full featured loader, that will really compliment that "loader tractor"of yours. See Marketplace on Stoll Loaders Built For Farmers Worldwide High-Tech Tractors New loader for this tractor $5500. 3 year structural guarantee. (sorry for the sales pitch, really hard to control myself sometimes)

Getting back to Ricks Comment about the ball valves. I can assure that Stoll does not utilize "Plumbing" fittings in any of it's hydraulic components.

My question is pertinent, justified and unanswered. Instead of yet another shameless sales pitch and slamming of the competition, why not provide some detail??? Those ball valves either have a sufficient pressure rating or they don't. Either the valve itself or the packaging they come in probably lists the rating. Right now, I'm betting they don't meet the pressure rating of the average tractor hydraulic system because Mr. Sales Ace won't give a legitamate response.
