Brent,

I'm not sure that switching battery technology in a tractor is a good idea. If the tractor came with a flooded cell battery the charging system is designed for flooded cell technology. AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) and Gel technology are not nearly as tolerant to overcharging or unregulated charging. I think following the advise of others to watch the fluid level is a better idea.

I replaced my leaky corroding Tc33 battery with a Gel wheelchair battery of the same dimensions and post locations. Gels arent rated in CCA , but it has turned me over in 20degrees the other day. It was $80. 4 months now no problem, original battery holddowns fit fine.
