I have read these posts carefully twice. and I still dont know what is wrong for sure with your tractor. This term "engine pressure" is confusing the heck out of all of us. We do not know what that means. So please stop using it. Start over and tell us what is wrong with your tractor. We are all guessing here. Is it the 3 point hitch that will not raise? or is it raised and will not lower? or is it the PTO will not turn? and describe what the engine is doing and what the symptoms seem to be. Also describe when things first went wrong and what you were doing at the time, and how the problems progressed and how you attempted to deal with them. Please include all the details you can. I understand you are upset and angry, but we cannot help you with suggestions, other than get it to the dealer if you do not give us details. Sorry for the long dissertation but the first step in problem resolution is to accurately describe the problem.

My thoughts are..if the women knew how many of these near heart attack moments we had whilst learning about our new tractors...and how much life insurance we were good for .... maybe they would BEG us to buy more of them...??????? :)

The ones I have seen will stop it all together if closed.

You have a Kubota. Odds are it is the same type of setup employed on our three Kubotas. On ours the knob only affects lowering speed ... and when shut off tight the implement will not descend from whatever position. -- but if its not at top position it will still raise.

To the OP: Did you really expect the dealer to send a mechanic to your house?
If that's the kind of service you want you should have asked the dealer before you bought it if they provide service at your home. Most all dealers will deliver a purchased tractor to your home for free but I wouldn't expect future home service on a CUT.
You also say the dealer praised his service dept. Is there a reason you think they can't fix the problem once you bring it in?
From your post one line says its completely broken down then you say you lost the back hydro power.
In my area most dealers will come to pick up a tractor from a homeowner but they charge for that service. It costs them money to take a man out of the shop and send him with a truck and trailer to get your equipment.
I'm not a dealer but give them a chance to fix the problem before you bash them.
Good luck on your repairs. I hope its an easy fix and with only 20 hours should be covered.

hi , Q 1. do you mean the engine is losing power , or sounds like its lugging against a load ?
Q 2 is or can the tiller be removed ?
when i picked up my new MF 1533 ( 2500HD with 16 ft HD pintel hitch trailer ) the next day the 3 pt hitch would not operator , i found the drop rate controler turned to the locked position. then saw a dimple on the hood ,called sales . they came next day took photos for claim . following week temp gauge not reading , called service dept., 2 days later mech at the house found loose wire at sending unit . in my area JD / MF, K dealers are close by and must back thier sales with good service . anyone needing a tractor around here have 2 or more for all types of work on the farms. soon i'll be looking for # 3 .

Do you have hydraulic remotes or not? If you see 2 hyd connectors on the back of the tractor that is a remote hyd connection for a hyd implement. If the lever controlling the remote [different from the 3ph lever] is operated and held in operated position by its internal detent mechanism, then your hyd pump is forcing fluid thru the relief valve and using several hp doing it, thereby causing an extra load on the engine. The fluid for the remote comes from "Power Beyond" at the loader valve -- so the remote will not affect operation of the loader, but will prevent the 3ph from operating. Check this. It could save you a trip.

This sounds to be the closest answer. My 3PH won't work if a remote is in a pressurized detent position. What position is the draft control lever in? If your having problems lowering the 3PH, then the draft position lever is in the up position and needs to be in the down position.

Are you saying engine pressure and mean to say hydraulic pressure?

I didn't mean to confuse everyone when I said engine pressure. What I mean by engine pressure is that it will idle and when given gas, it will slowly creep up. I did take the air filter out and found that no air was being sucked in which could account for the drop in and raise in idle speed. To clarify, the three point is up currently and will not go down. The slow/faster knob under the seat is completely open. I checked all the intake hoses and they are tight and I found no leaks.

As far as bashing the dealer, I was bashing the fact that their service department on Friday didn't want to offer any assistance. Also, the service department stated that they were not open on Saturdays, which was a huge shock to me. That was my fault for not asking prior to buying. I've never heard of a service department closed on Saturday's. The tractor has been down now since Friday, I got it to the dealer about an hour ago. The mechanic immediately said something didn't sound right when I was unloading the tractor. I'll let them do their thing now and it's outta my hands. Thanks to everybody for reading and posting replies.

i dont know of a single service center here by me that is open Saturday. there all m-f operations.

I sure hope that they can find out what your problems are. Luckly with the low hours and a new tractor, it will all be covered under warranty (cept for transportation). Transport costs are never covered.

What position is the draft contron lever in? It needs to be down to let the 3PH arms lower.
