Cool. I assume you modified your seat to spin around? Doesn't the ROPS get in your way when you try to turn around?

No. 7 fronthoe???
I went to look at a No. 7 I saw advertised on CraigsList tonight. Thanks to all the pics posted here, I was able to identify the subframe and tractor mounts as those for a x55 series tractor... which is what I needed for my 955. I had only planned on looking at it tonight and seeing if I could deal with the seller and if so, come back another day with a trailer to pick it up. Well, it turns out that I was able to work a much better deal than I thought so I figured I'd better get it in case he changed his mind. I ended up leaving there with the hoe in the back of my pickup.
The whole way home I kept wondering just how I was going to get it out of my pickup. Turns out I was able to lift it out of the bed of my truck with the 955 & 70A loader... hence the title of this post.
The fact that this guy had cut the subframe in half in order to convert it to work as a 3pt hoe on his AC tractor and that he was missing the two front hangers allowed me to cut a deal I couldn't pass up.
I got the hoe, both halves of the subframe, the rear hangers and the tapered pins for the front hangers... but the front hangers themselves were MIA. After we got it loaded into my truck and I handed over the cash, he told me that up until today he was certain that Jesse James was dead. LOL. It's definately a buyers market out there right now.

Are there any aftermarket buckets that will fit the No. 7? I have the 19" bucket and I'm sure I'm going to want a smaller one as well.

No...the 955 seat is complicated enough without a spin mode. Also you would simply still be fighting the ROPS trying to spin. It is of course very inelegant, and you look very silly operating the backhoe this way....but I save huge amounts of time digging and moving. Also the short range of the backhoe means that you dig into another move pretty quickly...you will otherwise spend most of your time moving in and out of the backhoe and tractor seat.

I think the narrow trencher bucket(about 12" wide) was the bucket that came with this 7 and the PO added a wider modified bucket. Just might be a challenge to locate a narrow bucket. (

Well I can certainly tell that your rears are loaded! Usually you would have needed the backhoe on the back of the 955 to lift that load! Yes you should have gotten such a deal: fixing/rewelding that subframe plus locating and adding the front hangers will be a bit of work. Fair deal since he kind of ruined the backhoe for 955 use. You also get the three point hitch lower cross bar out of the deal...I think they cost around $40...haha.

Yes, my rears are loaded with RimGuard and I had my Frontier 2060BB with an additional 160lbs of weight over the blade portion of the box blade for ballast. I can hook the loader bucket under something immovable and put the hydraulics into relief trying to raise the bucket and never come close to pulling a rear tire off the ground.
This is where I turn back to you (or anyone else that is willing to help). If I could get the critical dimensions of the front hangers, it wouldn't take much more than an afternoon to make them. If you wouldn't mind pulling some dimensions for me, I would greatly appreciate it. This is what I'm looking for:

Spent some time tonight studying the subframe figuring out how to go about reattaching the two halves. I've got a plan worked out... just need to pick up some materials from the metal supplier and get to fabbing. That may have to wait a couple of days since they are forecasting 100° and 105° the next couple of days. Just too hot out in the barn for me to want to mess with it.

Base plate: 3/8" thick, 4" x 7 1/4" Baseplate u bolts are offset from center of baseplate: first hole 1 3/8" from inside side of plate edge, outside hole is 3 3/8" from inside edge of baseplate. U bolts holes start 5/8" back from front edge of baseplate. U bolts are wrapping around the 2 1/2" square steel tubing that carries the FEL. Baseplate inside edge is 2 5/8" from tractor frame rail, extending 4" out on the 2 1/2" square stock from there.
Outer hole: 1.145" diameter Pin: 1.125"
Inner hole: .885" diameter Pin: .875"
Hole center is 1 5/8" down from the top of the baseplate, about 1 1/4" down from bottom of baseplate.
Mounting ears are 1 3/8" apart, inside to inside. Ears are 1/2" steel. Outer ear is bent to outside at bottom, overall it is 3 1/2" from bottom of ear to bottom of baseplate. Inner ear is 2 7/16" from bottom of base plate to bottom of ear. The inner ear measures 3 1/2" from its inside to the tractor frame rail.
Picture 416 shows the bent outer ear best.
Picture 417 is an angled from the rear shot, with an optical illusion making the inside u bolt look like it comes thru at the nearest corner. The mmm mounting in the background is distracting too. This picture sucks.
Picture 418 shows the bent outer ear and the u bolts.
The u bolts are somewhat offset from the baseplate to avoid the ears underneath; therefore there is a left and right mirror image baseplate. You can see how far from the inside edge the 1st u bolt is from the baseplate edge( about 1 3/8" inches in picture 415.
