Yup! My mechanic confirmed that getting off on the right side was a potential problem for bending the controls. My Hispeed lever was contacting the 4WD lever when engaged. I took it in for preliminary maintenance and commented to the mechanic. He said he noticed it happen one day when he got off on that side. A couple of wrenches and a strong arm fix was performed. I do not get off on that side anymore. I also do not pull too hard on the steering wheel after seeing the results defined here.

I had a similar problem, but only the vibration really bothered me-- I found that one of the levers had been bent (don't remember which one, now..) so it would rattle against the slot cut in the fender. Further noticed arm had been bent, causing the contact. Re-bent so it now sits in the middle of the slot. No further probs.

Sounds like a good thing to check for periodically.
