Price of #2 diesel hit $3.999 at the Petro truck stop south of town this afternoon. Where will it end?

Same price here in Erie, PA. Went to $3.999 yesterday. I am betting on $5 diesel and $4 gas before summer ends at this rate. What I am supprised at is gas stayed at $3.19 and diesel went from $3.89 to 3.99 with no movement in gas prices, how the heck can diesel keep going up and gas does nothing, sounds like a goverment/oil company conspericy to keep the super effecient diesels out of the country. With diesel more than gas, nobody will want the nice little diesel pickups and cars they have in Europe that get super mpg's What a total crock of a country we live in!!!

I think it will reach > $5/ gallon, like jet fuel already has!? The politicians are debating an increase in the road tax too!!

Diesel has been $409.9 at the local Yellow Goose convinient store in Delevan NY 30 mi. south of Buffalo all week then today I saw $405.9 at the Yorkshire Wilson Farms. Gas is still $335.9 at both of them. V

on road ULSD is about 3.75 around here.

priced Off road at 3.25... yesterday... need to go fill the barrel but was wondering if I oughta wait until the warmer months roll around...

beauty of it all is tractor has been sitting for months, way out back.... didn't know there was a tiny drip from the fuel filter, which is gravity fed from the tank.. went out there the other day, friggin tank is dry and a big spot on the parking pad..... 15 dollars worth of fuel on the floor because of a 50 cent O ring.. LOL.

The SOB's won't let us drill offshore or in Alaska. They also won't allow any new refinery's to be built. How's that for progress. Now you know why we're paying $4.00+ a gallon. At least that's part of the story.

I find it funny how so many people complain online about the fuel prices but I can not find one single person to join me in a protest here in my town. Diesel is 4 bucks a gallon here now too. Everyone whines about it but noone wants to get off their butts and do anything about it.
Looks like I'll be riding myself in protest. I rode my horse to town 25 miles away one day last summer and everyone thought I was nuts. I tied him up at the busiest gas station in town while I went into the shop I worked at next door for a few minutes too, with my sign saying buy grass not gas Ride a horse. hanging on the saddle.
A TV reporter came by to get a shot of the "lowest prices in town" at the time but didn't even pay any attention to me.

If you all are so concerned about it then get out and do something like I am trying to do. I can't afford the price of fuel anymore than you all can. It's bad for all of us.

oil is priced at the world price no matter where it comes from.

the cost of extracting oil in the us hasn't increased but the price the oil companys charge for it has, because they can.

the only long term solution is developing alternate sources of energy beside fossil fuels.

but the oilmen now in charge arnt likely to pursue that avenue

no matter if we drill in anwar or off shore florida or anywhere else is not going to reduce the cost of oil as long as china and india for instance increase their demand.

the oil companys will charge what they can get away with and we will pay world market prices no matter wher the oil is extracted
