Yea, Bush and Edwards. I bet they would get along well....

I think anybody who can understand voting enough to take a ballot and execute the vote should be allowed to. If they are blind or otherwise disabled they would need help, but only with other witnesses to make sure the voter's wishes are honored.

RE: College students Voting

In NH students are allowed to register to vote even if college is only a temporary residence. I do not like this. An absentee ballot for their permanent residence would be better.

They get the same ballot as any other NH resident. So not only will they be choosing a president but these not residents get to help pick the governor this election. There is also an article to ammend the state constituiton allowing for legislative oversight of the judicary branch. Plus state representatives. Nope I definitely do not like non-residents having a say on these matters!

I am old enough to remember when college students first got to vote in NH. The kids at Dartmouth voted at a town meeting to construct a sidewalk from Dartmouth to Colby as a joke. It never got built, but it did show the power that they could have at a town meeting. I never heard it they "fixed" the problem.
