No Power

Hi Guys and gals....hope someone can help me with this.
I was going to start to put some lights on my 2710 and went to look for the power lead that was supposed to be under the seat. I looked high and low, under the seat on top of the rear end under the tool box and came away with nothing. Can't find a lead.
I know from some of your posts that you all seem to have found the lead without any problem. Is there a secret to finding this????
Is it wrapped up inside the sleeving that go's to the taillights??
Any help would be appreciated.

Dale, on my 2910, I found wire under the back right fender. Almost directly behind the reflector.

Dale, mine was taped to another wire so the end didn't show until I unwrapped some tape. Sounds like yours may be, too.

It's under the fender, not the seat. Mine was under the rear part of the fender above where the 3PH center link attaches, but over to one side a bit. Just look under the orange sheet metal behind the seat and you'll see the wire harness. Follow it in each direction and you'll find it.

Took my time last night and unwrapped the entire wire harness starting under the seat. From the schematic I found out that it was a Red with blue stripe wire that I was looking for. I found it inside the harness under the seat and followed it back to the tail lights. The connector end that I wanted came out of the harness right at the point that the tail light and flasher connections came out which was under one of the sheet metal tabs used to hold the harness up which is why I couldn't find it in the begining.....it was hidden under the tab.
