No Rotella T6

I don't even know why they make 15w40 anymore. Any newer diesel takes either 10w30 or 5w40 and all those oils are backwards compatible. The fact it's the only oil on the self during a run on oil says everything.

The certification is backward compatible most of the time but I never heard of the viscosity being "backwards compatible".

Older tech oil never had the ability to thin out enough in cold weather like the new group III and IV base oils. 5w40 is much better in every way than 15w40.

Hey all,
Stopped by my Kubota dealer yesterday to buy a few oil filters and seal washers to change oil in my 3540. I was also looking to purchase a container of T6 to top off my supply, no dice. Went to TSC, Napa, 2 huge tractor dealers no one has T6! Napa say they have none on East coast, What?

I ran into this same issue buying T5. Local Napa dealer told me Shell is not manufacturing Rotella again until the end of January 2022. I finally found 6 gallons at Walmart and bought it all. Needed 13qts for the truck, plus will need oil for tractors and the RTV. Crazy world!

No, were comparing a group II to a group III or group IV. Or at least I am.
