No water pressure at kitchen faucet? All other faucets working fine.

I'm on a well so I don't have city pressure either...

We are also on a well. It feeds 3 houses. We have a little over 1000' of 1 1/2" mainline running from the well. My brother's house is 600' one way and mine is 400' the other.

We do not have a pressure problem. We have it set to turn on @ 58 psi and turn off @78 psi. Has worked this way for at least 30 years.

I guessing your pump setup is (quite) a bit heavier duty than the one I'm using!:thumbsup: With a 1/2hp jet the max psi is rated at 65. I've never tried the one I have to see if it will reach that. I know the one next door will do it but that's it. I'm reluctant to set mine that high as the first pump we had here only lasted 3 1/2 years at a 20-40lb pressure cycle. It may have been a dud to begin with but, and I could be way off on this, if I try to run the pressure cycle at, say, 35 - 55 psi, would the life of the pump be shortened?
