noisey pump

New to tractors, first winter with Kubota L245DT, I have noticed that the Hydraulic Fluid pump is making more noise as the weather has gotten colder, Below 20+ degrees. I let the tractor warm up for at least 10 minutes before working with it. I have a front mounted snowblower with a Hydraulic lift, when the lever is moved to lift or lower the snowblower the sound goes away. Is there any I should look for or is there something that could be added to the oil that will help?

Have you check the fluid & does the pump area seem extra warm..not really sure what you meant by noise..maybe squealing sound??..like the pump straving for fluid??
Have you check your hyd filter?

I would be most interested in the out come.

I know on my Ingersoll, the hydro system makes a racket when it cold. I have talked to other people who have the same tractor as me, and they all do it. It seems its from the steel lines vibrating together when the fluid is cold, and thick. After a few cycles with the lift and all is well.

Yes, I have checked filter and levels are all OK. Yesterday the temps were about 30 degrees and very little noise came from the pump. The sound is more of a whinning than a squealing sound.

I have the same tractor and have noticed the same thing happens now that it is cold out. It lifts and drops slowly until the oil is warmed up and it sort of rattles/screeches. I plugged in the heater on the radiator the other day, but have been told that it uses alot of juice. Perhaps plugging it in an hour before use will be the ticket.
