Norm\'s YM2000B

My 2000B right after I took delivery last July. Detailed, fluids, filters changed, greased, fixed turn signals, compression release, looks and runs like brand new, 522 hrs., ready for work.

That's a pretty tractor, but I think it would be prettier if it had some mud on it /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif!

I'm just now starting to learn a little about Yanmar's. What HP is the YM2000B? Did you buy it from a dealer or a private? Mind if I ask what you paid for it?

Very nice indeed.

I notice that these Yanmars look a lot like my Kubota (L185) and the Kubota's around the early 80's. Were they originally one big happy family or something??

Hey Golfgar, that's 20 pto hp, 24 engine hp, 2 cyl engine. Paid $2,900 plus $475 for the 4' rotary cutter from a dealer who, I think, has stopped selling gray machines, but still supplies parts.

That is the nicest 2000B I have ever seen. Those headlamps have kind of a don't mess with me look that I've never noticed before. Is there some custom paint around those?

WOW! For that BE U T FULL tractor? Sounds like a real good deal. Now I see it is a 2wd, do they come with any kind of a diff lock?

I forgot you guys are not necessarily Yanmar oriented. That is all original 20 year old paint. It is 2wd, 8 forward speeds, 2 rev., 3 pto speeds, diff. lock, lights, turn signals, work light, horn, full guages, parking brake, compression release, and thermostart system. Here is another view with a little dirt on it.

That "don't mess with me" look may be one of the enhancements on the "B" of the YM200B. I think it looks great Norm

Thanks Guys, I just bought it to clear land with, however since I am a retired tinkerer, I do plan on detailing the entire tractor eventually. Here is a pic. of the work light after I reworked it and I still need to pull the radiator and work on a little battery acid rust and replace the battery, although it starts really good.
