Dullpain, I think you're getting good advice. I would just add a couple of hours in Valle Cruces on the way back from Grandfather Mountain. Go to the original Mast General Store (right off the road), then---when you're good n' hungry--- take your sweetheart to the Mast Farm Inn for supper. v/r mark

You are correct. The real estate business is still booming in these areas due to the influx of people due to the nice rustic area. My point is that land is still available and a fair amount of it can be had reasonably. It takes time and some connections in many cases to make it happen.
