What's the plan? Are you going to build that hill between you and your neighbor with the wheel loader?

I bet that will really give them something to watch!!!!!

Have fun and post some pictures.

yup -- basically, come up an acre with the clay, and build the hill like 40x100 long --

-- this has a 2 yard bucket which is key --

-- i do have a healthy respet for this machine -- really -- i (a) don't want to get stuck, nor do i (b) want to fall in the pond -- :D

you quickly learn the size rule for recovery. You always go up... so when the biggest in the group gets stuck.... good luck ;)

oh and keep the pics comming! :D

Eric isn't that old and I don't think he is very crochety either. However, if you plan to haul the material bucket by bucket I think you are going to be at it for a little while with that small of a loader. Do you have someone lined up with dump trucks to help haul or how long did you plan on renting this loader? A couple 10 wheelers would speed things up to the point you can be done in a day. Hauling by the bucket load may take a couple weeks if you are hauling short trips or a couple months if you are hauling long trips (and that will get old in a hurry). If you need some help give Frank a hollar, he is use to running a big loader tractor like that :)

hey robert --

-- well, i'll be running a 2 yard bucket, which to me is about as good as i'm gonna get it --

-- :|

also, i have the machine for 40 hours, which is fair, i hope -- i'll probably hit it hard initially, and then slow down as the week goes on --

-- they originally wanted to give me a 1-1/2 yard bucket on a front loader, and this is a BIG advancement over that --

-- we'll see -- and as always, pictures to come -- :D

if any of y'all have a dump-truck available over the weekend and are in for a good laugh of me operating this beast, gimme a holler -- :D

I wish you the best but a 2 yard bucket is still a small bucket as you will find out. How far do you have to haul the material? I have friends who own their own truck companies but they are usually too busy to come on short notice. Give it a try for a day and see how you make out and if you don't think you will get the job done then call some local truckers and get done in the next day. Then you will have 20 some odd hours to play around with and maybe remove those pesky neighbors :)
