Changes are supposed to be for the better. I find the changes recently made far more labor intensive than the older version. Maybe it'ts just me but the site now takes far longer to go through. It seems you have to always go to the home page to change from, for example, Kioti to Bobcat site. A real pain. Am I missing something?

I assume you used to use the drop-down menus to go from forum to forum?

We've had ads on the right side for a long time. Perhaps it's just more noticeable now for some reason?

It's more noticable to some of us that block ads because it leaves a HUGE void of nothing (1/3 of the screen) to the right. The old forum expanded to fill this void, the new one does not. And the width seems to be larger on some computers, especially on widescreen monitors. Even with ads, much screen real-estate is wasted below the ads. Here is how it appears on one of my computers, the white-space is shown in red (added by me) to highlight the amount of space it occupies.

I hate to say this, but I don't like the redesign either. The pattern seems to be that the "color" has been removed from the user generated content section. What I mean is that the threads - and all related - are made to be a shade of light blue, giving a very bland, cold and unpleasant look to the forums. However. If you look at the adds on the side and top, they all retained their saturated, full range of colors and makes them jump right out at you. In fact they seem more pleasant to look at, because of this fact. I doubt that this was done to benefit us barefooted contributing, but none-paying members. I understand that the forum exist to make money and this is a way to attract more adds, but does not change the fact, that I seem to be with the majority of people who don't like it. None the less I will remain a regular, because I really like the forum content.

ps: Kudos to Muhammad for engaging in an exchange on this topic!
pps: how do I edit my signature line? It is huge and I seem to be shouting at people in RED:)

My screen doesn't look like that...I think the look is just fine. I'm using Chrome and no ad blocker.

Since my previous post about 12 hours ago the colors have been redone. I LIKE THIS A LOT. THANKS.

The white-space on the right was completely intolerable so I "fixed" it myself. Now I just have to remember to apply the same "fix" to my other computers. Other "fixes" exist, but I created my own, which I will tailor to my desires as the new forum design stabilizes. CSS is a wonderful thing.
