I don't know if this qualifies or not, but I modified my drivers side front wheel motor last weekend while trying to fix a hole in our crushed asphault road. I modified it from working fine.:) . to leaking oil like a sieve when sitting or like a small garden hose when running.

So that others do not repeat this modification, how was it performed?

Bob_Rip,
I was on the road using the minihoe to break up one of the large potholes.(about 2.5' or 3' diameter, 8" or 10" deep) and I was backing around in a circle to get a different angle on it. Moving as fast as I could, because I had to be ready to leave in about 45 minutes for my daughters tumbling practice. I changed my mind and started to turn the wheel the other way and dropped that wheel of the side of the road the wheel bottomed out in the ditch, and bounced pretty good. I wormed my way back onto the road and noticed a very dark spot on the edge of the road. I looked down and saw the wheel motor spraying oil onto the wheel hard enough to splash onto the lights. I Put my foot down and headed to the shop.(about 400 or 500 yds) I made it with only about half of my oil in the hydro tank. I turned the engine off and it slowed down dramatically. I undid the hydro lines on the motor and moved the ends above the level of the oil in the tank and it stopped. I had to go back with the pickup to get the small rock bucket and the the shovel and rake I had taken with me. We were about 5 minutes late to practice.

Really it was my fault because I got in a hurry and wasn't being as careful as I should have been.

I know others must have put on some not so good modifications. Let's hear about them.

Really, I haven't done anything to mine that didn't work well... the spinner knob on the steering wheel, the fire extinguisher, the extra lights under the ROPS and the tow hook on the front. Maybe I can mung up the parking brake when I get around to testing that mod. :D

I did put a leather steering wheel cover on, but it wouldn't stay tied up so off it came!

We know you can fail if you try hard enough.
