Not so good movies

Speaking of helicopters, have you ever seen 'Birds Of Prey' (1973) with David Janssen? It was a made for TV flick as I recall. Looks like it might be out there for streaming.

I like the firearms falsehood where someone gets shot, and the impact from the bullet knocks their body around like they were hit by a truck.

How about they way they shoot recoilless pistols inside a car or small room and continue speaking at normal volume?

Or stand in the hydrosttic blast cone of a high power rifle. A pistol always sounds like a canon but assault weapons never make much noise.

I like some of the fantastic ballistics experts in police procedural shows. They can look at a bullet and discern not only the caliber but the manufacturer and in one case the serial number range. It was a 5.56mm, there is only one company making guns in that caliber,,, right.

One of the cable channels was showing classics, complete with inane comments captioned on the screen. In "The Quick and the Dead" their comment was that Sharon Stone's revolver was old so she had to pull the hammer back every time. They were the most common at that time but double action was invented somewhere in the mid-1800s. In another scene she chases somebody out of the hotel while fanning the hammer... that would be hard to do if it isn't single action.
I'm not much fun to watch a movie with, I have too many comments about the glaring inaccuracies. Poetic license is one thing but at least try to make sense.

Hah. I recall one movie where John Wayne entered a shop with a Colt single action revolver, no gun belt or no holster, so no extra ammo. He fired 13 shots in a heated gun battle and never reloaded. Normally 5 shots and it would have pretty much been over.

That movie set some records for dangerous stunts done with a helicopter, like flying inside of buildings. Some old ex Vietnam pilots really showcased their skills on that one.

Anyone that has ever fired anything in a room, even a .22 knows how loud firearms fired in an enclosed space are. For those of you that have not done so, I will tell you, they are REALLY loud.

Must be one of them new fangled, automatic reloading revolvers. :)

In one 007 film I saw him blast a hole in a wall with a 12 gauge shotgun, that they then escaped though. That was some 12 gauge.
