I read high praise on Kubota. Looked at a hydro model and didn't care for the ergonomics.
Most Yanmar's I see around here are the early models. They look chinchy and fragile. Brother in law has one and says it takes great care not to flip it. He drove under something and broke the rear axle with the ROP. Hard to believe they made the smooth running 3cylinder in my 855.

My first tractor use was our John Deere L. Dad thought it was a 1940 model when he bought about 1952.
I remember my Dad telling a story when I was a kid about a fellow named John who was asked to name a bunch of tractors:
One was started and was so noisy that John said, "That's a Case!?
Another one was started and sounded so good, John said, "Reminds me of when my wife calls me; John Deere."
And unfortunately, I don't remember the rest of them.:laughing:

That's very true, however the quality & support of your local dealership underpins that long-term decision.
I'm 'green' because my JD dealership really does 'back me up'. Heck, if I'm in the area (2 hour drive to the 'Big Smoke') I'll even drop in for a cup of coffee and a yarn. They've always got time for me... I don't hear that about the other colours in my State.
I once needed a fuel filter (stuck and in the middle of haying season) and they opened the shop up early so I could get the part.

Kioti is Chevvy engine red. Must be why mine goes so well....... Lets face it, Red is always fastest......
