I didn't say he was referring to me did I? I pointed out that it is a post that has nothing to do with the topic or OP and is meant to be inflammatory and start a fight. That post is the definition of trolling. Sometimes it makes people mad when you point out thier trolling. That's not my problem.

I could make just as good a case that you derailed the thread with your comment about a antlerless vet getting shot but I don't really think that is the case and I understand that you were joking around as was I when I said it was funny when a backpack hunter shooting a 4 wheeler that was illegally traveling in a roadless area. I guess our comments upset some people but I do not think they were meant to.

I did a search to find some stories. Here is an example of hunters abusing a roadless area.
ATV use in national forest costs Virginia man | The Southwest Times
If youæ±*e thinking about loading up your ATVs and heading out to George Washington of Jefferson national forests to go for a ride in the wilderness, think again.

Unless you plan to ride them on a designated ATV trail, you値l be breaking the law and could receive a hefty fine.

A Falls Mills man recently was fined $370 in federal court and ordered to pay an additional $500 in damages for creating and maintaining a trail in the Kimberling Creek Wilderness within Jefferson National Forest in Bland County, according to Michael R. Williams, a public affairs specialist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service.

He said John Hayes created the trail to access a tree stand and feeder, where Hayes allegedly was baiting bears.

You are doing this without even noticing apparently but yo do so often. The alternate tractor thread was a perfect example. You said that a tractor suited your needs and you didn't' need an alternative. Nobody said that was wrong. Then instead of leaving after you made you point you started arguing and insulting multi mow for no reason. Followed by a slap fight and the mods having to delete your posts. Again for no reason other than to argue, as you were certainly not contributing to the discussion. Like Murph said to you, McDonalds might sell the most cheeseburgers but that doesn't mean they are the best.

The PTO wood chipper thread was another perfect example.

You didn't' get the reference he was joking about and started with the slap fighting and insulting.

I'll be happy to point this out in the future. Do you have somethign to add to this thread about trespassing hunters?

Yea, when you take a few snippets out of context, you can portray many different meanings.

"Don't be an idiot" was directed at those who were condoning throwing a cat through a wood chipper, then making light of it.

The second part of that....I honestly had no clue what those ramblings were about, or what the point he was trying to make was.

The 2 key parts of being a "troll" are 1. Intent to do nothing more than start an argument. And 2. Off topic.

While many threads here on TBN do go astray, and I'll admit that I contribute quite a bit to that, my intent is never to start arguments.

As to the alt. Tractor thread......the guy was asking for opinions as to why they were not more common, I gave mine, and apparently the alternative tractor gang didn't like my reasons. Then start bashing conventional tractors, etc etc etc.

Sad too, because it wasn't until after all that dust settled, the real reason for the thread finally came out. The OP was wanting to build an alternative machine of bi-directional design. I have a pretty extensive background in areas concerning hydraulics, power transmission, fabrication, etc. It's too bad I won't be sharing it with him in that thread.

Now you on the other hand.....I believe do go around with the sole intent of looking for arguments. Of the majority of the threads I have seen recently take a turn like this one....YOU are the common denominator.

I would not even be posting in this thread and wasting my time on you, if it weren't for the several pages of you trying to bully another couple of fine members. Enough is enough. We all don't share the same opinion as you. Say your piece and be done. If someone reply in disagreement, that's fine. You don't have to go all childish and call everyone a troll who doesn't side with you. I would like to think we are capable of carrying on an adult discussion, and be open-minded to other points of view.

I agree, he can not handle anyone having a different view point. That's why I say he would argue with a stump...high on the tractor.

To the op topic. For a reference point. In Wyoming it's understood, don't trespass on any property, especially when marked. People have been shot at here for this. Furthermore, I hunt near and in wilderness areas. Never seen anyone driving a ATV in. They're usually dense unmaintained areas where a helicopter is a smarter option than an ATV.

Well, I've followed this thread since inception, why, i'm not exactly sure.
It would appear Yerevan are a lot of folks with time to burn so more power to ya. Getting back to the matter of trespassing on private land, our farm is with in 20 miles of a large metro area and every fall immediately B/4 deer gun season there is a significant increase in road traffic and although our house is located about 1000 feet from the road after dark hours are interrupted with "bear light" beams of light shining across the corn stubble.
Despite frequent no trespassing posting along the road frontage on opening day there may be one or more vehicals parked on the road.
Opening day is a great time for a little fire wood cutting and guess what, those dudes have gone packen by 0800

I've noticed that the trespassers are the same ones that have no respect for others opinions also... No one is entitled to be on my land without my permission (of course there are exceptions, such as surveyors). Sometimes the trespassers are not the worst, in my case, my neighbor thinks they have the right to say it is ok for others to be on my property. One of the younger trespassers was saying he would like to buy a piece of land, he had no idea what land sells for (that does not include a house, well, septic, power)..

For hunting out West the landowner chips are really helpful. You can simply look at the GPS and see who owns the land. I guided hunts on a 145k acre ranch near Lusk and it was really nice to see if I was on the correct property as it can be confusing sometimes simply looking at fences and guessing. These are available for most states and show all the public land as well. Public & Private Land Ownership for GPS, Mobile, & Computer | HUNT by onXmaps

Unfortunately the trespassing poachers don't bother with such details.

It's amazing how much poaching goes on when you start doing internet searches. I know we had someone shoot 5-6 antelope down by Kimball a couple weeks ago and someone shot a cow elk on private land and left it over in Valentine. This one was a pretty big deal in Wyoming.
Court verdict reached on Wyoming poaching case of 23” mule deer | goHUNT

I dont' really see it getting better until we see stiffer penalties for these clowns who think the rules don't apply to them and they can hunt anywhere they want on public or private land. When you hear stories of landowners fighting back against poachers it seem that these cases can be hard to prove in court and if you are dealing with people who have money they seem to get off with what amounts to a slap on the wrist in many cases.

Any landowners on here actually successfully pressed charges on trespassers/poachers?
