Wild places are really special. It's a tough balance to strike but in general it seem that people have little respect for public or private land when it comes to hunting. I'd say the OP had a pretty good reason to be mad at trespassers. I can't imagine watching someone pulling the shenanigans he spoke about.

Yes he did and yes I would have been ticked too!

I was rather interested in the one post I've seen of LD1'S that was deleted. I thought there might be a good discussion there until that point. It was obvious that dissenting views were not to be tolerated there so I quit following as well.

As far as I've seen there are some folks on here that have a lot of experience and are glad to help and I'd rank LD to be near the top of that list. He's certainly far from a troll.

You remember the thread. It was just last week you were calling someone an idiot. Actually it was the alternate tractor thread. You called multi mow all sorts of names and the mods had to clean it up. I know of 2 threads recently now that I think about it. Just because someone has a different opinion than you does not mean they are stupid or an idiot.

Perhaps. I type just like I talk, and sometimes its hard to gauge the "tone" over the internet.

I try hard to NOT directly call someone an idiot or stupid. Sure, I may say things like "that was pretty stupid" talking about an action and not a person. I have done stupid things, that dont make me stupid.

Or I may say things like "what kind of idiot would.......", but not directly try to call someone an idiot.

But Im not perfect. And certainly aint too proud to admit it. If I insult anyone or offend anyone, Im sorry. But you, directly calling someone a troll, is just plain insulting. Especially when its people who have been very helpful members here on multiple occasions, and then you come in bullying them.

Yes, I remember the alternative tractor thread vividly. I shared a different opinion as to why I felt tractors far more versitle pieces of equipment, and immediately got ganged up on by you et.al. Did I say some things in haste that maybe I shouldnt have....perhaps. But cannot even reference that now since the mods did their thing.

What is the 2nd recent thread. Im at a loss????

I had to chase off repeat trespassers just last Friday. A neighbor gives them permission to hunt his property, but tells them they can hunt mine. These are repeat offenders. I chased them off and then got steamed and got the tractor out so I could go to the far side of the property, where I found them hunting on my property, out of view of the house. Of course, it is always a crippled bird they are after, but it was funny to hear them debate my property line (clearly marked with posts). They tried getting me to give them exclusive permission... like they had on neighbors property. I told them no, and also let them know that they are not exclusive on the neighbors, that others hunt it. I think they pay good money to have exclusive and all 4 of them had big eyes when I told them... I still chuckle to myself when they say they were after a cripple but then say they were on neighbors property... such idiots. Expensive shotguns, expensive dogs, all the fancy gear, no brains...

I took my shotgun on the 4 wheeler years ago to run some trespassers off, decided after that, I wanted to be unarmed so I would not be tempted to point my gun at them, not even accidentally.

No worries. Some city folks just don't understand the headache that hunters can be. Amazing how deer can turn normally rational people into complete idiots. The worst part is deer camp = beer camp which is not a good combination.//
My first job in NH, a co-worker went "Hunting" with his buddies every year. This "hunting" seemed to consist of getting up around 11am with a hangover, wandering around the camp, and then getting back to drinking. In the two seasons I worked there don't think he ever so much as set foot in the forest.

Back to trespassers...

Our neighbor has a dog that includes our property as part of her protective territory. We are quite happy with that since we don't live there full timber yet. Shortly after buying the property the dogs owner went out to see what she was so excited about. Another neighbor decided he'd hunt rabbits on our land. Radar, the dog had him scared witless. The owner explained that wasn't his lands and the dog did her job.

I was very happy to have radar around when I wasn't. As far as I know he hasn't been back.

"I took my shotgun on the 4 wheeler years ago to run some off, decided I wanted to be unarmed so I would not be tempted to point my gun at them, not even accidentally."

That was a very smart move on your part. Why even tempt yourself. Things could escalate very fast.

So to have a little fun I'll just troll you guys back.

What if the 4 wheeler trespasser who is also a 125 year old disabled vet was riding his 4 wheeler in the wilderness and casued ruts in the trail which casued the little old lady from pasadena who is 126 years old to slip and break her hip miles into the backcountry and eventually led to her death getting eaten by the man eating coyotes.

See how stupid that is? It's not much different than the ridiculous scenario laid out earlier which was clearly trolling. Sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade.

Thanks for the entertainment.
