Notifications of thread removals?

The thing that there really is "no uniformity" on is what is and isn't considered political, IMO. I have seen blatantly political threads, with Obama or Romney-bashing or praising go on for tens of pages and wondered, "Why is this not being closed down or moved to the politics forum?!"

If you see political posts anywhere but the politics forum, you can always push the "report post" button. It is the little triangle down to the lower left of all posts.

Anybody notice the blatant political ranting going on right now in the "Fill in the blank" thread in the "Fill in the blank" forum? SHAMEFUL, DISGUSTING, OFF TOPIC, NOT FIT FOR MEMBER PARTICIPATION....

But NOBODY does anything to report it....what baffles me is why some threads here that barely HINT at politics get immediate censorship, while other threads that are BLATANTLY IN VIOLATION of the forum rules get winked at....makes me wonder. Yes, I could report said forum...no, I am not going to. Whoever reported MY thread that was removed as political was simply doing it out of vindication because they disagreed with me at some point, it may not have been that particular thread, they simply wanted to play censor.

I was also given the information that if I wanted the thread moved to "Friendly Politics" I could reply to the email.

Don't remember seeing that forum before. Where is "Friendly Politics" locater?

It is a part of the "Front Porch" and you need to send a PM to Muhammad in order to gain access. And actually, it is quite civil.

There shouldn't be anything "baffling" about it. It's been a few years since I was able to read everything posted (or even a small percentage of what's posted), and I'm sure it's the same with all TBN staff members and moderators. I haven't yet seen anything "winked" at . . . oh yeah, I wouldn't see it if you or any other member winked, would I?:laughing: So moderators sometimes find something themselves that shouldn't be, but most of the moderation is done after something is reported by other members. And I think that's as it should be. We do depend on our membership. And I didn't even know we had a "Fill in the Blank" forum.
