Steve,
Long before today, I had warned my son and daughter-in-law that I was invoking a grandparents right to spoil the grandchild as much as I wanted.
But I also quickly added that it was going to be the GOOD kind of spoiling. I told them that I expect to spoil her with so much love, that when they ask her where she'd like to go, she says without hesitation, "To grandpa Garry's and Grandma Jennys' house, because they do things with me!" /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Jerry,
Thanks for the reminder! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif It's been awhile. Actually, Tom told me that Teagan never even made a whimper the entire time they were man handling her. I warned him that she might be saving it all up until later. I also reminded him that was one of the good things about being a grandparent - we can give them back to their parents if they're not behaving.
But my little grandaughter would NEVER misbehave anyway, right? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jerry,
You're absolutely right! But I have a feeling that grand kids might just be one of the most FUN things in life, along with being one of the best things! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
( Her mom (whom I love dearly) was quite a pill, so its payback time )
Dozernut,
I know what you mean. My son certainly made our life "interesting" when he was a teenager. But I guess just hearing him say things like, "Boy, how did you and Mom ever put up with me?" or "Now I see what you were trying to teach me." or just simply, "I'm really sorry for how I treated you guys back then." is more than enough to make up for payback. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
( That granddaughter is quite likely to cut into your golfing time. )
Bird,
You're probably right. And that'll be one of the few things that I will allow to cut into my golf time! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Unfortunately, I'm afraid that it may not happen as often as I'd like. What with Tom being in the Navy, we have a feeling that we're not going to be seeing them nearly as often as we'd like. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Mike,
That's a not a bad idea. Heck, I've tried just about everything else anyway. Guess it couldn't hurt to try this one too! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
