Shoot James, that is a mighty fine lookin tractor. What is that rod on the loader cylinder? I've never noticed that before.

I guess you must mean the bucket level rod? A rod runs up and down in the little tube as you curl/dump and you know when it is at ground level, if the little rod is at the top of the tube your bucket is level and ready for scooping.

your old Kubota looks near new in that picture.

Ain't nothing wrong with it, it will make someone a nice tractor.. Loaded tires, and floorboard treatment. And broken in too!

Awww you must have been getting this rain now to come in from your new tractor!!!! I put on the rain coat to go spread some grass seed so I could have more to mow. Some people go to extreme measures to play with their toys.

Koua, I don't know if this was answered but I have 15 hours on my new DK50 and the control placements are about perfect no issues with anything except for lever travel distance and that is almost no issue at all. I am used to pilot controls on the bigger equipment. I am very happy with everything, tractor has been used for moving dirt and snow almost for the full time. Just be aware if you are in hilly terrain and use the FEL alot HP is your friend. I can stall mine in low range using the loader hard. with that being said this tractor will take a fully loaded bucket out of a wet clay pit and walk out of it in midrange. I have ran a few 4X4 backhoes that would not do that. CJ Oh by the way it has been in the 80's here and the A/C works great!!

I do not know about the 50 HP tractor, but on my 35 hp tractor, HP effectiveness improved a lot over the first 150 hours

I got about 2 hours of seat time, today before the rain, but I had to modify my old Kubota bucket to fit the Kioti, I cut out the angle piece in the center of the bucket I had left when I put the SSQA plate on, but with the Kioti one lever system on the SSQA it hit the one lever linkage.. Was never a problem with the Kubota as it used the 2 levers.. when I got the welds ground out, and the piece of steel removed, the stupid thing was too tight for the retainer latches to break over center and latch down. So I ground out the notches in the SSQA plate a bit so it would fit. It was always tight even on the Kubota, but would work, but not with the Kioti. Anyway I got it on and going now, so that I have 2 buckets again, the new wide Kioti bucket and my "beater" narrow bucket for digging and general abuse.:) I also worked on my ballast barrell a bit to make it easier to hookup the toplink, I cut it all the way up so the toplink could just lay down from the top now without having to "thread it through the hole. I also protected the edges with some split tubing I made out of some tubing. I then cut about 4 inches off of the drawbar That thing just stuck out way too long to suit me, and would not have been able to keep a clevis on it as it would have hit the ballast barrell. The bandsaw made short work of that, and finished the edges with a flap disk to remove the sharp edges. The it started to rain, and I went in and took a nap:)

Yes it is pretty cool.. it is a more refined tractor than the "standard" Kubota, it is a little quieter, and has a more informative dash, better seat, tilt wheel etc. I am suprising myself how quickly I am getting used to the left foot brakes and no clutch and the 2 pedal system.. I still like the treadle best at this point, but the 2 pedal hydro is growing on me.

You know, I always thought the treadle made more sense, but after sitting on one I think I might prefer the two pedal system. Of course, I haven't actually driven either one yet. Next week!

How would you compare the HST operation itself (pedal system aside) vs the L3400?
