Obvious Dumb ??s - Foam Filled Tires....

After you've foamed your tires to make them bulletproof, <font color="red">What happens when it becomes time to replace the tires?</font>
Eventually the tread will wear to the point that traction will become a rare and precious commodity.
So, are the tires cut off the rims?
Also, does the foam ever break down over time?
Like some other foams, does it turn to powder over time?

I don't have all the answers you're looking for. The foam does not break down. I don't think you can get Ag tires recapped but I have heard of a shop being able to recap foam filled tires. Before you quote me on that, talk to the companies that are in the recapping business in your area especially those that also sell heavy equipment tires.

We used to get the R-4's recapped for Bob Cats. they would prep, and cold cap, right on the rim. Gary.

I was driving and seen Ford 5600 one day on roadway and his front tire shreded away due to so many cuts and never losing airdue to foam fill, He lost control and flipped... It was a ugly day. But he is Ok now

Yes it does.. all 4 of my finish mower wheels look half flat now. And.. the front filled tires on my tractor have squish/flat spots. But I'd do it again.

I have asked at the dealership if they can try to re-fill/ fix the squishy/flat spots.. since they send the tires out.. never got a reply back.
