Tractor
Kubota L3901
I borrowed my 2020 Kubota L3901HS out to a friend who I believe rode it hard as several of the three point attachment parts came back bent. Now I start it with clutch in and I hear the normal engine noise but as I let the clutch out it makes an unusual loud rattling noise primarily coming from under the seat and foot rest area. I check underneath for anything bent leaking or obviously loose and it all looks ok.The fluids all check ok the tractor runs n performs ok. But something is odd and different noise wise, any thoughts please. And I know loaning it out was bad idea and that’s the last of that.

If you press the clutch pedal, does the noise go away? I understand this tractor is HST but still used a dry clutch and clutch pedal for the PTO.

Do you feel vibration?

Hope you get it figured out and that it is nothing serious. I let my son use my tractor on his yard and it didn't got well, he did learn from it. I would let him borrow it again since he is my son but he is wiser. I won't go into the details but it was partly my fault.

I loaned a little Toyota 2wd pickup to a friend years ago. He wanted to use it to haul some stuff to do some landscaping. I got it back and it was messed up. Kind of leaned a little.

He apparently used it to haul landscaping flat stone. I thought he had the sense to know how to use a truck. Apparently not. Lesson learned.

If someone wants to use my tractor I say give me $50K to
hold while you use it and if anything is broke etc you'll
have enough to replace it and he can keep the tractor.
OR SORRY my insurance only covers me.

What did you tell the borrower after you noted several bent implements?

Quiet with the clutch pressed but noisy with it out can be throw-out bearing.

Could you help me with the rattling stay focused

I searched this site and am now educated on the throw-out bearing, thanks this sounds like a real possibility
If that is the problem I doubt it's because of anything which he did. How many hours are on the machine? Is it still under warranty? While that doesn't cover abuse (or friction items) I would check to see if it's a covered item before doing anything which could void your coverage.

The big question not answered is, what were the implements he also let the gentlemen use. Were any of them PTO driven? And another big question what type environment was he using the tractor and implements in old established soil or in new virgin soil. Sounds like he was using the tractor as a dozer to clear and prepare land for seeding or planting.
